Colors of Time and Change

., originally uploaded by Saralú.

I just send this picture, among others, as an entry for a photography contest. When writing the photo’s descriptions, this is what came to my mind. I kind of like it:

At this shrine, one can be witness of the trace of time and the change as a constant. Early in the morning and late at night, the tide is high, and we can see the shrine as it was floating. In the afternoon, the tide is low and the ocean goes away for a while, taking with it the prayers and the time.

The subject of the contest is “Colors of Japan” and “wabi-sabi”

Camera: Polaroid One Step Land (80’s).  Film: Polaroid 600 film
